Hi, I’m Ellie Monroe – the heart and hands behind Heavenly Recipe.
I’m 54 years old, a proud home cook, comfort food enthusiast, and firm believer that the best moments in life often start around the kitchen table.
My Food Story
I grew up in a small Midwestern town where Sunday dinners were sacred, casseroles had healing powers, and handwritten recipes were family treasures. My earliest memories are of watching my mother and grandmother cook with love—no fancy tools, just good ingredients, patient hands, and stories shared between bites.
For decades, I cooked for my family—sometimes on a tight budget, sometimes in a hurry, but always with heart. Now that my kids are grown and the house is quieter, I’ve poured my energy into this website as a way to preserve those cherished recipes and pass them on to others who crave that same sense of warmth, nostalgia, and simplicity.
Welcome to Heavenly Recipe
This is more than a recipe site—it’s a celebration of home cooking. Every dish here is tested in my own kitchen, with flavor, ease, and comfort in mind. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just learning to boil water, you’re welcome at my table.
What you’ll find here:
- Family Favorites with a Twist – From buttery pies to slow-cooked stews, I mix tradition with just a touch of something new.
- 🍽️No-Fuss, Real-Life Recipes – Nothing overly fancy—just food that makes people happy.
- Stories That Stir the Soul – Because cooking is about more than meals—it’s about memories.
When I’m Not Cooking…
You’ll find me tending to my backyard roses, sipping sweet tea on the porch, flipping through vintage cookbooks, or planning my next family get-together. I still believe in handwritten notes, second helpings, and the magic of a warm oven on a cold day.
Let’s Keep in Touch
If one of my recipes brings comfort to your kitchen, I’d love to hear about it. You can connect with me on social media, sign up for my newsletter, or drop me a note anytime.
Thank you for being here. Now let’s make something wonderful together.
With love,
Ellie Monroe
