Instructions
Baking Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill for 15-20 minutes.
Dust your work surface with flour and roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick.
Cut out rectangles or squares from the rolled-out dough and arrange on the baking sheet.
Bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are just golden.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
In a small bowl, mix together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over the cookies and add sprinkles if desired.
Notes
These cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds or in the oven for a couple of minutes.
