  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of diced butternut squash with 2 medium sliced apples.
  • Sprinkle ¼ cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg, and ¼ teaspoon of salt over the fruit mixture.
  • Drizzle 1 tablespoon of lemon juice over the mixture and carefully toss everything together.
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the mixture into the dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix together ¼ cup melted unsalted butter with 1 cup of granola or oats.
  • Evenly distribute the granola mixture over the top of the squash and apple layer.
