Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 cup cranberries fresh or dried
  • ½ cup orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 large egg for egg wash

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cranberries, orange zest, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick.
  • Cut the pastry into strips approximately 1 inch wide.
  • Place a spoonful of the filling at one end of each pastry strip.
  • Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges to seal.
  • Brush the tops of each pastry straw with beaten egg.
  • Place the straws on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
