  • Skillet
  • spatula
  • Serving Platter

Ingredients

For the Fritters

  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage adds a wholesome crunch and nutrition
  • 0.5 cups grated carrot for a natural sweetness and vibrant color
  • 0.25 cups finely chopped onion enhances the savory flavors
  • 2 cloves minced garlic infuses the fritters with an aromatic kick
  • 2 large eggs acts as the binder
  • 0.5 cups all-purpose flour provides necessary structure
  • 0.25 cups panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon salt elevates flavors
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper adds warmth
  • 0.5 cups vegetable oil for frying; choose a neutral oil

For the Garlic Sauce

  • 0.5 cups mayonnaise creates a creamy base
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream adds richness
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice brightens up the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic packs extra flavor
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for freshness and color

Instructions

Fritter Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Stir until evenly blended.
  • Add eggs, flour, panko breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix until a thick batter forms.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Scoop about 2 tablespoons of batter per fritter into the hot oil, and flatten slightly. Fry for 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth.
  • Serve fritters warm, drizzled with garlic sauce and topped with chopped parsley.

Notes

For best results, ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture. Store leftover fritters in the fridge for up to 2 days.
