Instructions

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Melt the dark chocolate along with coconut oil in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, stirring until smooth, about 5–7 minutes.
  • Carefully coat the inside of dome-shaped silicone molds with melted chocolate and freeze for 10-15 minutes.
  • Pour a second layer of melted chocolate into each dome and return to the freezer for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Scoop the thick coconut cream into a mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, and almond extract, folding in shredded coconut.
  • Fill each hardened chocolate dome with the chilled coconut filling, leaving space at the top.
  • Melt the remaining chocolate to seal the filling inside the domes and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Bring heavy cream to a simmer and pour over chopped semi-sweet chocolate, stirring until smooth to create ganache.
  • Drizzle the cooled ganache over the domes and decorate as desired.
  • Return decorated domes to the refrigerator for another 15-20 minutes to set the ganache.
