Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions
Melt the dark chocolate along with coconut oil in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, stirring until smooth, about 5–7 minutes.
Carefully coat the inside of dome-shaped silicone molds with melted chocolate and freeze for 10-15 minutes.
Pour a second layer of melted chocolate into each dome and return to the freezer for another 15-20 minutes.
Scoop the thick coconut cream into a mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, and almond extract, folding in shredded coconut.
Fill each hardened chocolate dome with the chilled coconut filling, leaving space at the top.
Melt the remaining chocolate to seal the filling inside the domes and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Bring heavy cream to a simmer and pour over chopped semi-sweet chocolate, stirring until smooth to create ganache.
Drizzle the cooled ganache over the domes and decorate as desired.
Return decorated domes to the refrigerator for another 15-20 minutes to set the ganache.
Serve and enjoy the Coconut Chocolate Domes!
Notes
