For the Filling

  • 21 oz Cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

For the Topping

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Rolled oats
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Cold cubed butter

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine cherry pie filling, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients and work it into a coarse, crumbly texture.
  • Pour the cherry filling into the baking dish and sprinkle the topping evenly over it.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow the crumble to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy it warm or cold.

Notes

Enjoy with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can be made with fresh cherries for extra flavor.
