Step-by-Step Instructions for Pear and Almond Cake

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) with a rack positioned in the center. Line a 9" round cake pan with parchment and butter the parchment and sides.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, sift together almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together on medium speed for about 2 minutes until creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in almond and vanilla extracts.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter, mixing on low speed until just incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
