Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions for Strawberry Sweet Tea
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
Add 4-5 family-size tea bags into the hot water and steep for approximately 10 minutes.
While the tea is steeping, grab 4 cups of ripe strawberries and dice them into smaller pieces.
Place the diced strawberries in a food processor and puree them until smooth.
In a large pitcher, pour in the brewed tea followed by the freshly strained strawberry juice.
Add an additional 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well.
Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and let the tea chill for at least 2 hours.
Fill tall glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over the top, garnishing with fresh strawberries or mint.
Notes
Serve with Strawberry Cupcakes for a complete Southern experience. Monitor sugar levels and chill thoroughly for the best flavor.
