  • Aluminum foil

Ingredients

For the Lasagna

  • 24 noodles lasagna A classic base that absorbs flavors beautifully.
  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded Adds protein and makes this dish hearty.
  • 4 cups spinach, chopped A fresh, nutritious element that elevates the dish.
  • 4 cups ricotta cheese Creamy and rich, it keeps the lasagna moist and delicious.
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Melts perfectly, adding that gooey goodness we all crave.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Imparts a savory flavor and a delightful golden crust.
  • a few black olives (sliced for 'eyes') Fun and spooky topping to bring the ghostly theme to life.
  • 6 cups marinara sauce A tangy and flavorful layer that ties everything together.
  • Salt and pepper Essential for enhancing the overall taste of your ghostly lasagna.

Instructions

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the 24 lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, typically boiling them for about 8–10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of ricotta cheese with 4 cups of chopped spinach, adding a generous pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Stir until creamy and well-blended.
  • In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin, even layer of marinara sauce—about 1 cup—covering the bottom. Layer 4 cooked lasagna noodles side by side over the sauce.
  • On top of the noodles, spread a portion of the ricotta-spinach mixture, followed by 4 cups of shredded chicken and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Add another layer of marinara sauce. Repeat these layers, finishing with a final layer of sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  • For ghostly toppings, use slices of mozzarella cheese cut into ghost shapes and arrange them atop the last layer of sauce. Add slices of black olives for eyes.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Ensure noodles are cooked al dente to avoid mushiness. Assemble ahead for saving time, adjusting baking time if needed.
