Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions for Falafel
Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas, then set aside.
In a food processor, blend chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, dill, cumin, cardamom, salt, black pepper, and baking soda until coarse.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and shape into balls or patties.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Arrange falafel in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry the falafel for 12-14 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Serve warm with tahini sauce and fresh veggies or in pita.
Notes
Always soak chickpeas overnight for best texture. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer for even cooking.
