Begin by placing the 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts in a large pot in a single layer.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of black pepper, 2 crushed cloves of garlic, ½ sliced onion, and 2 bay leaves into the pot.
