Ingredients

For the Cookie Dough

  • ½ cup Butter slightly softened
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar packed
  • cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 ¾ cups Flour
  • 3 tablespoons Corn Starch
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

For the Mix-Ins

  • cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips more if desired
  • 1 package Halloween Oreos use inside cookies
  • ¼ cup Halloween Sprinkles

Instructions

Baking Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until incorporated and smooth.
  • Gently add in flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and Halloween sprinkles evenly.
  • Scoop out dough, flatten it slightly, and place an Oreo in the center.
  • Fold the dough over the Oreo to seal and form a ball. Place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes, ensuring they are slightly underdone in the center.
  • Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top immediately after removing from the oven.
  • Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. Room temperature ingredients help achieve a smoother dough.
