Step-by-Step Instructions for Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Swirls
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle about ⅛-inch thick on a lightly floured surface.
Spread the Dijon mustard evenly across the pastry, leaving a small border along the edges.
Layer the ham, shredded cheese, and black pepper evenly on top of the mustard.
Tightly roll the pastry from one long edge into a log shape and pinch the seam closed.
Slice the rolled log into 12 pieces, each about 1 cm (½ inch) thick, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Whisk the egg and milk together and brush the mixture over the top of each swirl.
