Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and diced strawberries; mix until smooth.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 4 to 5 inch squares.
Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
Fold the corners of each square towards the center and pinch the edges to seal.
Whisk together egg and milk for the egg wash; brush over the filled pastries.
