Instructions
Directions
Begin by rinsing your fresh strawberries gently under cool water, then pat them dry with a paper towel. Lay the strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine your chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
Hold each strawberry by the green stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's completely covered. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing back on the baking sheet.
Before the chocolate sets, insert pretzel sticks into the top of each strawberry to create antlers and gently press candy eyes into the chocolate.
Press a red candy (like M&M's or a cherry) onto the chocolate-covered strawberry below the eyes to create the nose.
Place the decorated strawberries in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully hardened.
Once hardened, arrange your Reindeer Chocolate Covered Strawberries on a festive platter and enjoy!
Notes
These treats are best enjoyed fresh. Refrigerate for 30 minutes after decorating for optimal texture and presentation.
