Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions for Caramel Apple Pie Bombs
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter until it sizzles. Toss in finely chopped apples along with brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, and cook for about 5 minutes.
Open the package of refrigerated biscuit dough and gently pull apart each biscuit. Lightly stretch each biscuit circle.
Place approximately 1 tablespoon of the warm apple pie filling in the center of each stretched biscuit and add a caramel candy on top.
Carefully pinch the edges of the biscuit dough together to seal in the filling, and roll the biscuit into a ball shape.
Brush the tops of the bombs with melted butter and sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon sugar over the tops.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
For the best texture, enjoy these bombs fresh out of the oven. They can be stored refrigerated before baking or frozen after baking for later enjoyment.
