Ingredients

For the Mousse

  • 8 ounces block cream cheese use for best results
  • 1 cup peanut butter natural or processed
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar can substitute with brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract opt for pure vanilla
  • 2 cups heavy cream softly whipped

For the Ganache

  • 4 ounces milk chocolate can replace with dark chocolate
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate essential for depth of flavor

For the Crust

  • 1 prepared sweet peanut butter cookie crust pre-baking recommended

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Peanut Butter Mousse

  • Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add peanut butter and sugar, mixing until fully combined. Add vanilla extract and fold in half of the whipped cream, then gently fold in remaining whipped cream before pouring into the prepared crust.

Step 2: Prepare the Ganache Topping

  • Pulse the milk chocolate and bittersweet chocolate in a food processor until finely ground. Heat heavy cream until boiling, then pour over chopped chocolate and blend until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and let cool.

Step 3: Assemble the Tart

  • Pour the cooled ganache over the mousse layer. Spread evenly and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Step 4: Serve

  • Remove from the refrigerator 15 minutes before serving. Slice using a hot knife for clean cuts.

Notes

Consider adding flake sea salt on top for a flavor contrast. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
