Instructions
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, combine dulce de leche, cream cheese, and vanilla extract. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
Pour water or milk into a shallow dish. Briefly dip each cookie for 1-2 seconds, ensuring they soften but don’t get soggy.
Layer softened cookies at the bottom of a rectangular dish. Spread a layer of the cream filling over the cookies.
Continue layering cookies and cream mixture until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream.
Cover with plastic wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Slice into portions and serve chilled, optionally garnished with fresh fruit or shaved chocolate.
Notes
