Baking Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat brown sugar and eggs until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add espresso powder and vanilla extract, mixing well until fully incorporated.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set and centers look slightly soft.
Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
