Instructions

Step‑By‑Step Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and lay flat.
  • Cook the ground beef and Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and marinara sauce to the meat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  • In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom and place 4 lasagna noodles on top.
  • Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles and sprinkle a third of the shredded mozzarella on top.
  • Continue layering with meat sauce, noodles, and the remaining ricotta mixture. Top with another third of mozzarella cheese.
  • Finish all layers with meat sauce on top followed by remaining mozzarella cheese and sprinkle remaining Parmesan.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes.
  • Allow lasagna to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
