Instructions
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Incorporate the melted chocolate into the butter-sugar mixture.
Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the sour cream until smooth.
Combine the dry ingredients in another bowl and set aside.
Mix the milk, coffee, and vanilla together separately.
Gradually add the dry ingredients and milk mixture to the batter, alternating.
Layer one-third of the batter in the pan, followed by graham crackers, then repeat.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until done.
Prepare the meringue by whisking egg whites and sugar in a double boiler.
Whip the meringue until stiff peaks form and then toast with a kitchen torch.
Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
For best results, keep ingredients at room temperature before mixing and avoid overmixing.
