  • 4 slices white bread
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pepperoni
  • ½ cup warm pizza sauce

Instructions

  • Begin by preparing the garlic butter mixture. In a mixing bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried Italian seasoning. Use a fork or spatula to mix these ingredients until they form a smooth and creamy blend.
  • Next, take slices of white bread and spread the garlic butter mixture generously on one side of each slice.
  • With your skillet ready, place it over medium-low heat. Take one slice of bread and place it butter-side down in the skillet.
  • Layer the skillet with a generous portion of mozzarella cheese, followed by a layer of pepperoni. Repeat this layering with another slice of mozzarella and pepperoni, finishing off with a final layer of mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Carefully top your layered ingredients with another slice of bread, butter-side up. Press down gently to help the layers meld together.
  • Cover the skillet with a lid and let the sandwich cook for about 3-5 minutes.
  • After the first side is golden and crisp, flip your Pizza Grilled Cheese using a spatula, and place the lid back on the skillet.
