  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gently fold in chopped strawberries, then create a well in the center.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and cream, then pour into the well and stir gently.
  • Turn the dough out, knead gently, and shape into a ¾-inch thick circle. Cut into 12 wedges.
