Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gently fold in chopped strawberries, then create a well in the center.
In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and cream, then pour into the well and stir gently.
Turn the dough out, knead gently, and shape into a ¾-inch thick circle. Cut into 12 wedges.
Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet, brush with milk, and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 15-16 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk until smooth.
Drizzle the glaze over the warm scones and serve.
