Instructions
Preparation Steps
Begin by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, light corn syrup, and water.
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring gently until the sugar has fully dissolved.
Once the sugar is dissolved, allow the mixture to come to a boil until it reaches the hard crack stage at 300°F (150°C).
Immediately remove from heat and whisk in the baking soda.
Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and allow it to cool completely.
Break the hardened honeycomb into small, irregular pieces.
Melt the white chocolate chips with cream soda in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
Stir in the vanilla extract and dip each piece of honeycomb into the coating.
Sprinkle with edible gold dust or yellow sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
Allow the coated treats to set at room temperature until the chocolate is firm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Freeze uncoated honeycomb pieces for up to 1 month.
