  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ¼ cup cream soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon yellow sprinkles optional

Preparation Steps

  • Begin by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, light corn syrup, and water.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring gently until the sugar has fully dissolved.
  • Once the sugar is dissolved, allow the mixture to come to a boil until it reaches the hard crack stage at 300°F (150°C).
  • Immediately remove from heat and whisk in the baking soda.
  • Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and allow it to cool completely.
  • Break the hardened honeycomb into small, irregular pieces.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips with cream soda in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and dip each piece of honeycomb into the coating.
  • Sprinkle with edible gold dust or yellow sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
  • Allow the coated treats to set at room temperature until the chocolate is firm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Freeze uncoated honeycomb pieces for up to 1 month.
