  • Thaw the shrimp by placing them in a bowl of cold water for about 10 minutes until fully thawed, then drain and pat dry.
  • While the shrimp are thawing, dice the tomatoes, finely chop the red onion, and dice the avocados into small pieces. Chop the cilantro.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed shrimp, diced tomatoes, red onion, and avocados. Add lime juice, hot sauce, salt, and pepper and gently fold together.
  • Pour in the clam juice or substitute, mixing gently until even coated without mashing the avocados.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
