  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed; or frozen/canned (drain canned)

For the Seasonings

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix or homemade with herbs
  • 3 teaspoons Cajun seasoning adjust to taste

For the Broth

  • 1 cup beef broth can substitute with vegetable or chicken broth

For the Butter

  • 6 tablespoons butter or olive oil for a healthier alternative

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Begin by halving the baby potatoes and slicing the smoky sausage into rounds. Toss the potatoes and sausage into your 6-quart slow cooker.
  • Trim and cut the fresh green beans into 3-inch pieces, and add them to the cooker.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and Cajun seasoning evenly over the contents of the slow cooker.
  • Carefully pour the cup of beef broth over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
  • Place the pats of butter delicately on top of the mixture.
  • Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  • Once cooked, gently stir the Slow Cooker Swamp Potatoes before serving while they are hot.

Notes
