  • ½ cup Chopped Fresh Parsley
  • ¼ cup Finely Chopped Onion

  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil

For the Sauce and Cooking

  • 1 jar Marinara Sauce 24 oz
  • Olive Oil For frying

Instructions

Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound each of ground beef and ground pork. Use your hands to mix the meats thoroughly until they're fully integrated.
  • Next, incorporate the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil into the meat mixture. Mix until evenly distributed.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's hot and ready for baking the meatballs.
  • Take portions of the meat mixture and roll them into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Aim for approximately 24-30 meatballs.
  • In a large skillet, heat a few tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Carefully place the meatballs in the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned.
  • Transfer the browned meatballs to a baking dish, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Once out of the oven, let the dish sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

These meatballs can be served with homemade garlic bread or alongside Cajun Potato Soup for a comforting meal.
