Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions for Yaki Udon
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add udon noodles and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Drain and rinse under cold water.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the chosen protein to the skillet. Stir-fry for 4-6 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add mixed vegetables and sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Push the vegetables to the side and scramble the eggs in the empty space for 1-2 minutes.
Return the udon noodles, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together for 2 minutes.
Cook the mixture for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and flavors meld.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 day in the fridge. Add water or soy sauce when reheating to maintain moisture.
