Instructions

Step-by-Step Instructions for Yaki Udon

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add udon noodles and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the chosen protein to the skillet. Stir-fry for 4-6 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add mixed vegetables and sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Push the vegetables to the side and scramble the eggs in the empty space for 1-2 minutes.
  • Return the udon noodles, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together for 2 minutes.
  • Cook the mixture for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and flavors meld.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
