Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Increase heat to medium-high and add ground beef. Cook for 7-8 minutes until browned, breaking apart with a wooden spoon.
Stir in cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper into the browned beef. Mix thoroughly to coat the meat evenly.
Pour in soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Cook for about 2 minutes to meld flavors.
Add hot honey to the skillet, mixing to combine all ingredients. Simmer for about 3 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer for another 5 minutes to deepen the flavors.
Prepare 2 cups of cooked rice as the base in each bowl.
Top the rice with the spicy beef mixture, followed by halved cherry tomatoes and sliced avocado.
Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
For a milder dish, reduce hot honey or mix in water. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
