For the Salsa

  • 3-4 pieces Fresh jalapeno peppers stems removed
  • 1 cup Sour cream adds creaminess
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise for smoothness
  • ¼ cup Fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice for acidity
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper or to taste
  • 1-2 tablespoons Pickled jalapeno juice optional, for extra kick

  • Wash 3 to 4 fresh jalapeno peppers, removing stems. If desired, slice open and remove seeds for milder salsa.
  • Place prepared jalapenos in a blender and add optional pickled jalapeno juice if desired.
  • Pour in 1 cup of sour cream and ½ cup of mayonnaise, then add cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Blend all ingredients on high until smooth, shaking and scraping down sides as needed, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as desired, adding lime juice or salt, or more jalapeno for heat.
  • Pour salsa into a bowl or container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors.
  • Serve chilled with tortilla chips or drizzled over tacos and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, let the salsa chill before serving to enhance the flavors. Adjust spiciness by controlling jalapeno seeds and juice additions.
