Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
Slice your Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and arrange them for easy assembly.
Spread ½ tablespoon of softened butter on the outer side of each roll half.
On the inner side of each bottom roll half, spread about ½ tablespoon of mayonnaise.
Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the mayo side of each bottom roll half. Add ham and crushed pineapple if desired.
Top with another slice of cheddar cheese and the top half of the roll (butter side up).
Cook the sandwich in the preheated skillet for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
Flip the sandwich and continue cooking for an additional 3–4 minutes.
Remove from skillet, let cool for a minute, then slice in half.
Optionally garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For best results, enjoy your grilled cheese fresh. Use softened butter for even spreading and to achieve a golden crust.
