Instructions

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Slice your Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and arrange them for easy assembly.
  • Spread ½ tablespoon of softened butter on the outer side of each roll half.
  • On the inner side of each bottom roll half, spread about ½ tablespoon of mayonnaise.
  • Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the mayo side of each bottom roll half. Add ham and crushed pineapple if desired.
  • Top with another slice of cheddar cheese and the top half of the roll (butter side up).
  • Cook the sandwich in the preheated skillet for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip the sandwich and continue cooking for an additional 3–4 minutes.
  • Remove from skillet, let cool for a minute, then slice in half.
  • Optionally garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
